Jubilee 2025

The Church will celebrate the Jubilee in 2025, the Holy Year that the Pope has periodically called since 1300 and which marks an important stage for the Catholic Church. It will be a great media event and the city of Rome will be a destination for millions of pilgrims from all over the world.

The interval between Jubilees has changed several times throughout history, but today it is 25 years: the last Jubilee before the next so-called “ordinary” one was that of 2000. If the event will be “ordinary” in the ecclesial definition, for the capital it will certainly be an extraordinary year.
